Jody Scheckter is a name that might not be familiar to some Formula One (F1) fans, but he was a talented driver who achieved great success during his career. Despite his impressive record, Scheckter is often considered a forgotten legend of F1. Born on January 29, 1950, in East London, South Africa, Scheckter began his racing career in his home country before moving to Europe to compete in Formula Three and Formula Two.

After retiring from racing, Scheckter focused on farming and eventually became a pioneer of organic and biodynamic farming, founding the Laverstoke Park Farm in Hampshire, England. He also established the Jody Scheckter Organic and Biodynamic Farming Trust, which promotes sustainable farming practices. Despite his impressive achievements both on and off the track, Scheckter is often overshadowed by other F1 legends of his era. However, his talent as a driver and his contributions to sustainable farming make him a true legend of his time.
